Beautiful Blighty!
We arrived in England on Wednesday & tootled down to Devon to our prearranged accommodation from where we spent two fabulous days exploring the countryside. Went to the Kent Caverns on Thursday where we had a tour and learnt that the oldest fossils in England had been discovered there. Friday we discovered Cornwall with its quaint houses and wonderful scenery.
However, the highlight of our time so far has been the two days we have spent with our friends, Tony & Michele Cozzi, lately from Ballandean and now settled in Warminster, in the heart of Wiltshire. We had the honour of being their first visitors and they have done us proud, with tours around the countryside, notably to see the White Horse of Wiltshire, which was carved out of the chalk hillside around 1000 years ago. It's worth looking at the enclosed website: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westbury_White_Horse
